☕ What does it taste like?
The first sip brings the sweetness of ripe fruit and dried fruit, followed gradually by caramel- and brown-sugar-like sweetness. Sip slowly and you may notice a subtle wine-like aroma reminiscent of fully ripened fruit, while a touch of cocoa appears towards the finish.
There is some acidity, but it is closer to the natural sweet-tart character of ripe fruit rather than a bright, sharp lemon-like acidity. The mouthfeel is rounded, with a noticeable coffee presence and moderate body, without making the intense bitterness of a dark roast the main focus.
The “wine-like” note here does not mean alcohol has been added. It refers to the ripe-fruit, dried-fruit and matured aromas developed through the coffee’s special natural processing. As drip bag coffee is pre-ground, these delicate aromas are generally more subtle than when the same coffee is freshly ground from whole beans.

- Worried about acidity? → There is a natural ripe-fruit-like sweet acidity, but it is not sharp like lemon or unripe fruit. The overall profile remains centred on ripe-fruit sweetness.
- Worried about bitterness? → There is some natural coffee bitterness and a touch of cocoa towards the finish, but bitterness is not the main focus and this is not an intensely bitter dark-roast style.
- Worried it may taste too light? → The body is not particularly heavy, but ripe fruit, dried fruit, caramel and cocoa notes give the cup enough flavour presence. For a more concentrated cup, try brewing with 155ml of water.
- Is the “wine-like” aroma strong? → No. It is not an intense alcoholic flavour, but rather a subtle aroma reminiscent of fully ripened and matured fruit.
- Good with milk? → Yes, but we recommend trying it black first so you can better appreciate the ripe-fruit sweetness and more delicate matured aromas.

- To explore the wine-like aroma: Try 90°C with 155ml of water and enjoy it black. Smell the coffee immediately after brewing, then sip it slowly as the temperature drops slightly — this makes it easier to distinguish the ripe-fruit sweetness and subtle matured-fruit aromas.
- Recommended cup: Use a tall cup to prevent the drip bag from sitting in the brewed coffee for too long. Remove it once dripping has finished, and do not squeeze the bag.
