This Brazil and Guatemala blend drip bag is dark roasted, opening with a cocoa-like sweetness and a familiar roasted coffee aroma. As the cup develops, a brown-sugar-like sweetness gradually comes through, keeping the overall balance of sweetness and bitterness relatively gentle.
Acidity is not prominent and does not come across as sharp. The mouthfeel has a certain roundness without being particularly heavy. As the coffee bitterness gradually fades towards the finish, a mild lingering sweetness remains. Despite the dark roast, the profile does not lean towards smoky or heavily charred flavours.
If you usually enjoy the cocoa notes and coffee presence of a dark roast but prefer something without overly strong bitterness, this is a more approachable option.
